A gravure idol (グラビアアイドル, gurabia aidoru, "charming model"), in Japan, is a woman who poses for magazines in sexy outfits (cosplay, bikinis, underwear), who is a hostess at manga/anime/video game conventions or a race queen at motor racing events.
