Axilirator, fashion is the new cosplay

Today, I have talked with someone I never thought I could talk to.

The first time I had seen her, I was like « Ok, now super models do cosplay », something I told to my nerdy geek buddies back in the days of the Super Famicom but nobody believed me. They were laughing to the dreamer I was supposed to be.
It could be kind of frustrating when you foresee something nobody believe then see that you were right throught talented cosplayers as Axilirator nowadays but who could have imagined that in the 90’s ? Besides the fool I am, no one. It is like Linda Evangelista doing cosplay. Unimaginable.

It could sound rude but it looks so unreal even if I was sure that one day cosplaying would be the new fashion. At the time, my main point was « Mangakas are inspired by pop-culture, Manga popularity will grow bigger and bigger to the point that next generation will do cosplay as Japanese models have done ». And guess what happened ?

I really would love to travel back in the time to show a picture of Axilirator to my skeptic friends. Not to tease them or telling that I was right, you bullied me, eat a Karma police control. I would like to travel back just to say that they were partly right.
Indeed, Axilirator looks like the dream I would never reach mostly when she active the Goddess Mode of Elizabeth from Seven Deadly Sins. Or, when she uses the Harley Quinn secret weapon. You do not really know what « Yummy Yummy » means.

Then, came this deep reflexion coming from the deep web of my mind, a place where someone like Gemini Cricket told me that if I keep on being a coward in this life, I will still be coward in the next, so go for it, you moron.

All the more, I have noticed through the way she responds to my comments that behind the beauty, the bootyful yummy, the 1 million dollars smile, the Harley Quinn Hammer, this eye gaze which could petrify me, there is just the most precious human being, the funniest person able to corner you in the cutest way. You should have seen when I was like Onizuka trying to hide his dirty thoughts behind an emoticon. She got a sharp spirit.

First of all, where the name « Axilirator » come from ?

There was such a character from the anime Toaru Majutsu no Index I liked him and I decided to call myself that 😊.

What is your academic formation ? What are your artistic references ? Do you have actresses, film directors, models, etc in Pop culture who inspired you ?

I am a costume designer. I really like Sakimi chan, the doujinshi artist, from actors I like Chris Evans.
